Secure Payment

Phone World is committed to making online payment clear and secure. The payment methods available for your order are displayed at checkout before you confirm the purchase.

Encrypted checkout

PhoneWorld.co uses HTTPS encryption to help protect information sent between your browser and the website. Payment details are entered through the secure checkout process and handled by the relevant payment service provider and banking network.

No online system can promise absolute security. Phone World maintains reasonable technical and organisational safeguards and reviews payment and website arrangements in line with the risks involved.

Payment authorisation

Payments are subject to authorisation by your card issuer, bank or payment provider. Depending on the method used, you may be asked to complete an additional verification step, such as 3D Secure, a banking-app confirmation, a one-time passcode or another strong-customer-authentication check.

When you place an order, the payment may be authorised, reserved or charged according to the selected method. An order acknowledgement is not always confirmation that we have accepted the order. Please see our Terms and Conditions for contract formation and refunds.

Fraud prevention

To protect customers and Phone World, an order may be checked for unusual activity, address mismatch or other indicators of fraud. We may request reasonable information to verify the purchaser or may decline an order where a genuine security concern remains. These checks are carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Protect your payment information

· Check that the address begins with https://phoneworld.co before entering payment information.

· Do not send full card numbers, security codes, bank passwords or one-time passcodes by email, text, WhatsApp or social media.

· Phone World will not ask you to reveal your card PIN or online-banking password.

· Use a private device and trusted internet connection where possible, and sign out after using a shared device.

· Contact your bank immediately if you see an unrecognised transaction or believe your payment information has been compromised.

Failed or declined payments

A payment can fail because details are entered incorrectly, the billing address does not match, a bank blocks the transaction, funds are unavailable or an authentication step is not completed. If payment is declined, check the details and contact your bank or payment provider before trying again. Phone World does not control the reason given by your bank.

Refunds

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method. Once Phone World processes a refund, the time taken to appear depends on the bank or payment provider. Our Terms and Conditions explain cancellation, returns and refund timing.
